In the short time it’s been open, this place has become one of the most highly recommended stops in all of Virginia Beach. Located in the Pungo community in the southern part of Virginia Beach, Sawdust Road is the newest addition to the home-away-from-home style of shops that are becoming a trademark of Pungo.
The space is a welcoming mix of old and new. The walls are adorned with local art that provides the perfect backdrop to enjoy a drink. You can spend the morning in the living room drinking coffee with friends or afternoons sipping tea on the porch.
The menu is lovingly crafted to display the best the area has to offer by sourcing local and supporting independent makers and farms. The iced Honey Lavender Latte was the highlight of the trip- well balanced with honey lavender syrup (made in house), a double shot, and milk. During our visit they were featuring a frozen peach lemonade that did not disappoint, and we even grabbed a Chai Latte to go. Sawdust Road is a snapshot of home-grown hospitality and great example of what a community can be.
