If you have read our other post then you already know that we fell in love with Talkeetna hard and fast. Talkeetna is a pretty small town, and as you can imagine, it can be pretty slim pickins when it comes to where to eat. But what they lack in options, they make up for in flavor! Enter –

Located on Main Street in the heart of the city and snuggled up behind Nagley’s Store, West Rib offers great deck seating to enjoy all Talkeetna has to offer. The food is cooked outside, so you get to people watch and enjoy the smell of a very Alaskan menu of Fresh Kodiak Halibut ala Fish n’ Chips or a Caribou Burger being cooked right beside you. Oh, and don’t forget the Fat Ass Sauce! This crazy concoction is made of cream cheese, grilled onions, and bacon. Soooo wrong but so right.
